Why rent a car in Mohammedia?

Mohammedia is a special town on the Atlantic coast. It is only 25 kilometres from Casablanca and halfway to Rabat. It has a lot of industry and a big port, but it is also a beach town. Some people come to visit a factory, a supplier or a building site in the industrial area. Other people come for the beaches, the seafront and the golf course. In both cases, public transport does not go everywhere. A rental car lets you travel easily between the town, Casablanca, the airport and the capital. A great base for business travellers

On the motorway, you can reach the business areas of Casablanca in about thirty minutes outside busy hours, and Rabat in about 45 minutes. Mohammed V airport is about fifty kilometres away, so 45 minutes to one hour, depending on traffic. For a team on a work trip, we can bring several cars to the same address, or a minivan for everyone. Long-term rental contracts are good for building sites and missions of several weeks. A car with a driver can also pick up your visitors at the airport.

Driving tips

  • Speed limits: 60 km/h in town, 100 km/h on roads, 120 km/h on motorways. There are speed cameras on the coast road and on the motorway.
  • Tolls: you pay to use the motorway to Casablanca or Rabat. Keep some dirhams or a bank card.
  • Trucks: near the port and the industrial areas, there are many trucks. Plan before you pass them and keep a safe distance.
  • Summer: in July and August, the seafront is very busy in the evening and at weekends. Give yourself time to park near the beaches.
  • Police checks: the police often check cars at the entrances of the town. Keep your documents and the contract close to you.

Trips around Mohammedia

  • Casablanca: 25 km, about 30 minutes, for the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche;
  • Bouznika: about 25 km to the north, for its beaches and family feel;
  • Rabat: about 65 km, 45 minutes on the motorway;
  • Benslimane and its forest: about thirty kilometres inland, for a day in nature;
  • El Jadida: about 125 km, 1 h 30, around Casablanca.

Rental conditions

The driver must be at least 21 years old and have had a licence for more than 2 years. Drivers under 25 may pay an extra charge. We take a deposit on a bank card, and you return the car with the same fuel level. Delivery in Mohammedia is free.
