An economy car to drive in Morocco and save money

Economy cars are the first level of our fleet. They are small city cars and small saloon cars. They are easy to drive, they use little fuel and they are easy to park. They are a good choice for a business trip in Casablanca, a week between Rabat and Mohammedia, or a first road trip in Morocco on a small budget. At Alliance Tours, these cars start at 30 € per day. The daily price goes down when you rent for a longer time.

The cars in our economy range

  • Dacia Sandero and Dacia Logan: very common cars on Moroccan roads. They are strong and cheap to use. The Logan has a big boot.
  • Renault Clio 5, manual or automatic: a modern and comfortable city car, good in town and on the motorway.
  • Peugeot 208 automatic: for people who do not want to change gears in the Casablanca traffic.
  • Opel Corsa and Hyundai i20: small, easy to drive and with good equipment.
  • Hyundai Accent automatic: a small saloon car with four doors and more space in the back.

When is a small car a good choice?

A small city car is enough for most trips in Morocco. Motorways connect Casablanca to Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech and Agadir, and a light car uses little fuel on them. In town, the small size really helps. It is easier to drive in the streets near the medina, to park on the Corniche or to stop near Casa-Voyageurs train station.

But a small car is not good for dirt roads in the south, or for five adults with big bags. In these cases, look at our compact and saloon cars or our 4x4 and SUV rental range.

Manual or automatic?

Manual cars are the most common in Morocco, and they are the cheapest. If you do not usually drive a manual car, choose an automatic car: Clio 5 automatic, Peugeot 208 or Hyundai Accent. In the Casablanca traffic jams at busy hours, an automatic car is much more comfortable.

How the rental works

You choose the car and the dates. You send your request online or on WhatsApp, and we confirm that the car is free. You can get the car at Mohammed V airport, in Casablanca centre, in Rabat or in Mohammedia. We can also bring it to another city in Morocco if you ask. Bring your driving licence (held for at least two years), an ID document and a bank card in the driver's name for the deposit.

Our tips to pay less

  • Book early for summer and holidays. Small cars are the first to go in these periods.
  • Compare the price for one week or one month. The daily price is often lower for longer rentals. See our long-term car rental offer.
  • Return the car with the same fuel level as at the start. Then you will not pay for extra fuel.
